How to use the stat calculator
- Pick the Pokémon and the game. The base stats switch to that generation's values.
- Set the level and nature. The boosted stat turns green, the lowered one red.
- Enter IVs (0–31) and EVs (0–252, 510 in total) — or Stat Points in Champions. The presets fill the usual spreads.
- Read the final stats, where they sit between the lowest and highest possible values, and the same spread at level 50 and 100.
- Open the spread in the team builder or as the attacker in the damage calculator. The URL keeps every input, so you can share it.
The stat formula, with an example
Take a level 78 Adamant Garchomp with 12 Attack IVs and 190 Attack EVs (the example Bulbapedia uses). Base Attack is 130: ⌊(2 × 130 + 12 + ⌊190 ÷ 4⌋) × 78 ÷ 100⌋ + 5 = 253, and Adamant multiplies it by 1.1 → 278. Its HP with 24 IVs and 74 EVs: ⌊(216 + 24 + 18) × 78 ÷ 100⌋ + 78 + 10 = 289. Load the same numbers into the calculator and you get the same result.
Highest possible stats of popular Pokémon
31 IVs, 252 EVs and a boosting nature in that stat, Scarlet / Violet base stats. Level 50 (VGC) first, level 100 below.

FAQ
How are Pokémon stats calculated?
From Generation 3 on, every stat except HP is ⌊(⌊(2 × Base + IV + ⌊EV ÷ 4⌋) × Level ÷ 100⌋ + 5) × Nature⌋, where Nature is 1.1 for the boosted stat, 0.9 for the lowered one and 1 otherwise. HP is ⌊(2 × Base + IV + ⌊EV ÷ 4⌋) × Level ÷ 100⌋ + Level + 10. Shedinja always has 1 HP.
How do stats work in Pokémon Champions?
Champions battles are always at level 50 and IVs are fixed. Instead of EVs you get 66 Stat Points, at most 32 in one stat, and each point adds exactly 1 to that stat: HP = Base + Points + 75, other stats = (Base + Points + 20) × Nature. Pick Pokémon Champions in the Game menu and the calculator switches to Stat Points.
Why do 4 EVs only add 1 stat point?
The formula divides EVs by 4, so at level 100 every 4 EVs is one point. At level 50 it takes 8 EVs for one point, which is why competitive spreads use multiples of 8 after the first 4 (e.g. 4 / 252 / 252 or 252 / 4 / 252).
Does the calculator use the right base stats for older games?
Yes. Choosing Gen 3–5 uses the base stats from before the Gen 6 buffs (Pikachu had 30 Defense, Butterfree 80 Sp. Atk), and later tweaks are undone for the games before them. Gen 1–2 use a different formula with DVs and Stat Experience and are not covered.
What are the best IVs and EVs?
31 IVs in every stat you use, 252 EVs in the two stats your Pokémon relies on most and the last 4 in HP. Trick Room and Gyro Ball Pokémon want 0 Speed IVs and a Speed-lowering nature; special attackers often want 0 Attack IVs to take less damage from confusion and Foul Play.
How do I find my own Pokémon's IVs or EVs?
Use the IV calculator: enter the stats on its summary screen and it works out the possible IVs. The EV calculator does the same for EVs and plans EV training.
