| HP | Atk | Def | SpA | SpD | Spe | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jolly | 183 | 182 | 115 | 90 | 105 | 169 |
| Adamant | 183 | 200 | 115 | 90 | 105 | 154 |

Choosing a nature
- Lower the stat you don't use. Physical attackers drop Sp. Atk (Adamant, Jolly), special attackers drop Attack (Modest, Timid). Mixed attackers drop a defense instead (Lonely, Naive, Hasty, Mild).
- Speed natures (Jolly, Timid, Hasty, Naive) are worth it when the extra 10% outspeeds a key threat. Check the numbers on the speed tier list.
- Trick Room teams want −Speed natures: Brave, Relaxed, Quiet and Sassy.
- Bulky supports often use Bold, Impish, Calm or Careful.

Natures FAQ
What do natures do in Pokémon?
A nature raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. HP is never affected. Five natures (Hardy, Docile, Serious, Bashful and Quirky) raise and lower the same stat, so they are neutral. The multiplier is applied after EVs or Stat Points and rounded down.
How many natures are there?
There are 25 natures: 20 that change two stats and 5 neutral ones. Every combination of raising one of Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def and Speed and lowering another has exactly one nature.
What is the best nature?
It depends on the Pokémon. Physical attackers usually run Adamant (+Atk, −SpA) or Jolly (+Spe, −SpA); special attackers Modest (+SpA, −Atk) or Timid (+Spe, −Atk). Pick the + Speed nature when the extra speed lets you outspeed an important threat; Trick Room teams use Brave, Quiet, Relaxed or Sassy to be as slow as possible.
What are the most used natures in Pokémon Champions?
In Champions VGC 2026 Reg M-C (2026-09, 1.63 million battles), Adamant (22.2%), Timid (21.7%), Jolly (21.4%), Modest (13.9%) are the most used natures, weighted by each Pokémon's usage.
Jolly or Adamant?
Jolly trades 10% Attack for 10% Speed. With 32 Speed and 32 Attack Stat Points in Champions, Jolly Garchomp has 169 Speed and 182 Attack; Adamant Garchomp has 154 Speed and 200 Attack. Choose Jolly if those 15 Speed points outspeed something that matters, otherwise Adamant hits harder.
Can you change a Pokémon's nature?
Yes. Since Sword & Shield, Mints change the nature that is used for stats (the original nature still shows).
